Our story
Alessandria, Italy.
Born in Alessandria, a city in Northern Italy that is steeped in the craft of fine jewellery, Danilo grew up as a rebel and romantic among a family of soldiers. He trained in the art of gem craftsmanship despite parental opposition and following his bliss, departed for the bright lights of New York City in 1997 with barely a penny to his name.
Manhattan, New York.
His drive and determination paid off and with his strong manufacturing background, Danilo survived and thrived, manufacturing for some of the most renowned Houses of Jewellery such as Stefan Hefner, Crivelli, Chatila, Piranesi, Bulgari and many more. After a few years, he took a leave of absence to travel and restore his creative energy. His journeys brought him to Istanbul, Turkey where he discovered a passion for the art of ebru or painting oil on water. This marbled motif decorates the packaging of Arte Oro to this day.
Singapore
In 2015, he began a personal chapter on love and family. This sparked Danilo’s decision to bring back the romance of bespoke jewellery with Arte Oro; an atelier dedicated to translating personal stories into wearable works of art.
In 2019, Singaporean-born Harris Zaidi came onboard as the Brand Advisor at Arte Oro. Being the brand’s spokesperson, his love of beautiful objects, artistry and craftsmanship influence his perspective when clients consult him on building their personal jewellery trove and curating their collection of precious stones.
Geneva, Switzerland.
With a substantial amount of interest and demand for our bespoke jewellery services across Europe, Arte Oro has opened a new branch in Geneva to cater to this growing market in 2022.
The new office is set up in collaboration with Swiss investors and strategic partners. Now our European clients will be able to gain access to both our gem collections and our bespoke services more conveniently.
